No Weeds-Guaranteed! feels strongly that a properly coordinated maintenance program will provide the customer with optimal landscaping. The providers will have a happy customer with less call backs.

The three major impacts on the health of a lawn, shrubs, and ornamentals are:

1. Cutting and Pruning
2. Irrigation
3. Fertilization, Pest Control and Weed Control

No Weeds-Guaranteed! is one part of the total equation. We want to work with the landscaper and irrigation company to coordinate our efforts.

Cutting and Pruning - the cutting and pruning of the lawn, shrubs, and ornamentals should be performed within the following guidelines:

• The cutting equipment must be sharp and in good repair. The cuts should be clean without jagged edges
• No more than 30% of the grass blade should be cut at a time
• The thatch should not cover any portion of the lawn

Irrigation - the watering of the lawn and shrubs should be provided within the following guidelines:

• Watering in the summer should be a 30 minute soaking in the morning three times a week. Rainfall should be factored into this guideline. Too much or too little water will cause problems.
  
  This can be tricky to manage during the summer with the frequent showers. Customers are strongly advised to invest in rain gauges. It will save money in electricity and damage to the landscaping.
• Watering in the winter months should be twice a week and during daylight hours.
• The lawn should be fully covered by the sprinkler system. Dead spots in the irrigation coverage will create dead spots in the lawn.

Lawn & Ornamental Fertilization and Pest Control

Lawn Fertilization, Pest Control and Weed Control is most effective when:

• The lawn is not short (enough blade to absorb the treatment)
• The lawn is not cut immediately after treatment.
• The lawn is watered within 24 hours after treatment

Ornamental Fertilization and Pest Control is most effective when:

• Shrubs and trees are pruned prior to treatment
• Irrigation is reaching the ornamentals and trees

• We will present a positive team approach to the customer
• We will communicate our timing of treatments and prunings in order to execute in correct sequence
